"Since winning at the northern design competition I have been developing the iGiveADamn concept further with friend and business partner Kyle Montague. Together we have raised a substantial amount of start-up funding to help push the idea forward.
Over the summer of 2009 we registered as a Community Interest Company, with a strong focus on social enterprise. In 2010 we are starting a pilot study to test our concept and to test the market.
Kyle and I are still in education, I'm studying a Mater of Design and Kyle is taking on a PHD in the area of computing. This is giving us the opportunity to develop iGiveADamn whilst still in the education environment.
Winning the Northern Design Competition has given me a great boost in confidence. It has highlighted my ability as a Designer and it has also given me the belief that the iGiveADamn concept is worth perusing further. Winning the competition also gave me the motivation to approach charities with my idea. They have shown great interest and I am convinced that taking the idea forward financially viable.
I hope that in the future iGiveADamn (the company), can claim to be a 'Digital Media Consultant for Charities.'"
