"I was both proud and pleased to be short listed for the Northern Design Competition. To subsequently win the Illustration category was amazing.
Winning such an award has given me more confidence in my work, and having had my work judged to be of high quality by an industry professional has reassured me that my work could be of interest to potential clients.
It is an honour to have won against such strong competition where the quantity and quality of the entries were so high and this will, I am sure, help me in my search for employment. Furthermore, the prize money I received has allowed me to pursue an unpaid work placement that I had been offered but would have otherwise struggled to fund.
I would like to thank all those involved with the Northern Design Competition for granting me the opportunity to showcase my work in a professional and prestigious environment."
