Leeds Met students were among the finalists for the fifth annual Northern Design Awards held at the Rose Bowl on Thursday evening. The competition, which was open to students studying at universities, colleges or sixth forms in the North, has seen an overwhelming number of entries and is divided into eight categories: architectural design, fashion design, film and animation, graphic design, illustration, interactive media, photography and product design. Prize money totals £12,000.
Leeds Met students were represented among the finalists by Steven McCloy 'Perruqueria Barcelona' (Architecture), Oliver Quenby 'Three Lions' (Illustration), Alan Klein 'Formatt Mag: Cultivating Creativity (Interactive Media), and Melissa Fairchild 'Headingley Writing Set' (Product Design).
