Frazer Hudson is the judge of the Illustration category.
He graduated from Leicester Polytechnic with a BA (Hons) in Illustration in 1990. He went on to study towards a Post Graduate Diploma in 1992 at Central St. Martins College of Art and Design, London.
Since leaving education Frazer has worked as an illustrator for a wide range of well known Clients and top global brands including Volkswagen, Channel 4, Canon, National Geographic Channel, British Airways, Elf/Total Fina, Sony Ericsson, Carlsberg, BT, Mini Cooper and many UK National publications.
Gina Cross of the Guardian Newspaper said “Frazer’s ability to deliver strong and effective visual concepts within a matter of hours, often depicting complex subjects is invaluable. His work is of a very high standard.”
Since 1998 Frazer has been awarded Victoria & Albert National Art Library Award prizes four times, twice with fellow illustrator Andrew Foster under the collaborative guise of Red Dot. The two met whilst studying illustration at Central St. Martins and saw themselves as kindred spirits. They helped form the illustration collective Monster, and remained under this banner for several years.
In 2000, Frazer was awarded the coveted Association of Illustrators Gold Award and in 2006 was commended for the ALPSP/Charlesworth Award for Learned Journals for cover illustrations for Lancet Neurology publications.
